MVHR (Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery)

Breathe Better. Waste Less. Live Smarter. With MVHR (Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery)

Designed for modern, airtight properties, MVHR systems continuously supply fresh, filtered air while recovering heat that would otherwise be lost.

The result? A home that feels fresher, healthier, and more comfortable — all while reducing energy demand.

At 4 Seasons Solutions, we install complete MVHR systems as part of a fully integrated renewable energy package.

What is MVHR?

An MVHR system extracts warm, stale air from areas like kitchens and bathrooms and uses that heat to warm incoming fresh air from outside.

This continuous exchange means you get:

  • Fresh air without opening windows
  • Retained heat that would otherwise be lost
  • A consistent, comfortable indoor environment

It’s ventilation — but done properly for modern living.

Why Choose MVHR?

Healthier Indoor Air

MVHR systems filter incoming air, removing pollutants, allergens, and excess moisture.
That means cleaner air throughout your home, helping reduce condensation, damp, and mould.

Exceptional Energy Efficiency

By recovering heat that would normally escape, MVHR systems reduce the energy required to heat your home — supporting lower running costs and improved EPC performance.

Consistent Comfort All Year Round

No cold draughts. No stuffy rooms.
Just a steady flow of fresh, temperature-balanced air in every room.

Future-Proofed Living

As homes become more airtight and energy standards increase, MVHR is quickly becoming essential — not optional.

Designed as Part of a Complete System

MVHR works best when it’s designed into the fabric of the building — not added as an afterthought.

That’s why we only offer MVHR as part of a full, integrated package, including:

  • Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP)
  • Solar PV and battery systems
  • Full system design and installation

By designing everything together, we ensure every element works in harmony — maximising efficiency, performance, and long-term savings.

New Builds & Major Renovations Only

To be clear — MVHR is not suitable for most retrofit projects.

For MVHR to work properly, a property needs to be:

  • Highly airtight
  • Designed with ducting routes from the outset
  • Built or renovated to modern energy standards

Because of this, we only install MVHR systems in:

  • New build properties
  • Full property renovations / deep retrofits

If your project doesn’t fall into these categories, we’ll advise on other options.
